The Pomy Difference

POMY aims to empower children to progress towards improved health, wellness, and mindfulness. We achieve this through a combination of yoga poses, breathing techniques, music, and storytelling. We educate families through a series of different channels. Along with our podcast we offer free resources and tools to use in the home. We believe that children succeed when parents succeed! That is why we encourage parents to follow us along on our different platforms. We want to use our platforms to share in ways that are new, innovative, and easy to implement. Parenting tips, the dos & don'ts we’ve learned along the way, and a resource corner are just the beginning of what you will be able to find when you subscribe. Like the old saying goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We at POMY want to be your village. Our promise is to partner alongside you to empower your children to grow into the caring, independent, conscientious, and intentional adults we know they can be.

I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. I have been working with children, including those with autism and other unique abilities, for over eight years. My interest in the mental health of children sparked from my schooling and work with children over the last several years. My foundation of movement comes from a decade of gymnastics training. I began practicing yoga in 2016 and in 2017, I became a movement instructor at a center for children with unique abilities. This is when I began to incorporate yoga into my movement sessions and after seeing the amazing benefits that yoga provides for children I decided to further my education and become certified in Creative Relaxation Yoga for Children. In 2018, I founded POMY (Piece of Mind Yoga) under the idea that yoga could be used in the lives of children as a piece of the overall health puzzle to promote both physical and mental health from a young age.
